Good evening ladies and gentleman, for those of you who don’t know me, my name is Rachel, and I’m Brian and Linda’s friend from California, it’s such an honor to me to be here today as Linda’s Maid of Honor, I was so filled with pride when Linda asked me to be her bride’s maid.
First I meet Linda when she was still in college, we both share the same fun and weird things, I could list all embarassing moment of us but Linda already told me If I told you those stories, she would jump and take me out one on one, she can do karate, I don’t want to mess with her.
And in the second year, I got to meet Brian, Linda was so proud when she introduced him to me, I can see by the look of her face that she’s madly in love with him and it’s a good thing that I see the same expression on Brian’s face. So we hang out together, but mostly they would just sneak away and leave just like that alone…but I have no problem at all, since they were the one who always pay for the movies, dinner, lunch … fine by me. Through Brian and Linda, I have learned the meaning of friendship and love, it is now my chance to say thank you for that sweet memories that I will never forget and I hope we still can create another beautiful memories of our friendship together.
So … I have to say words of wisdom for the newly wed, well just because I’m not married doesn’t mean I’m not an expert. Okay listen carefully :
1. When you are wrong, admit it. When you are right, just shut up !
2. The best way to remember an anniversary is to forget once (Brian’s this is for you)
3. Brian this is the best word for you to win Linda’s heart : You’re right dear. Go buy it !
4. Say thank you even for little things that you do to each other
5. Laugh and the world laughs at you, snore and you’ll sleep alone.
I guess my time is up, finally I want to wish the newly wed a growing love, understanding, acceptance, forgiveness, good health, good wealth and most of all a happy ever after. Congratulations you two…
