Bring Wedding

When we were little girls, Kelly and I used to dream about the kind of weddings we were going to have. We’d dress our Barbies in flowing gowns and rehearse for our own special day. As I remember the dreams we had as children, I know that even they could not compare to the beauty and romance that is your wedding day. Let’s raise our glasses to the bride and groom, and wish them the lifetime of love and happiness they deserve!

When Sharon first told me - note that I was told, not asked! - that I was making a speech, I thought it was her way of getting back at me for anything I had ever done to her while growing up. Lately I realized that it is actually an honour to be asked to address YOU.

Look to your left. Look to your right. pause YOU are the people Sharon and Darren love the most. They’ve invited you because this day would not be the same without you. And you have made them a priority in your lives by celebrating with them. You have honoured them with your presence and made their day so special and unforgettable. On behalf of my family, I would like to thank you all for coming.

As sister of the bride, I have an unique view of Sharon. She was the little sister I had always wanted. She was a happy, precocious child… who’’s middle name was mischief. I remember her ability to get into all sorts of trouble and then proclaim quite indignantly NOT ME! Good evening ladies and gentleman, for those of you who don’t know me, my name is Rachel, and I’m Brian and Linda’s friend from California, it’s such an honor to me to be here today as Linda’s Maid of Honor, I was so filled with pride when Linda asked me to be her bride’s maid.

First I meet Linda when she was still in college, we both share the same fun and weird things, I could list all embarassing moment of us but Linda already told me If I told you those stories, she would jump and take me out one on one, she can do karate, I don’t want to mess with her.

And in the second year, I got to meet Brian, Linda was so proud when she introduced him to me, I can see by the look of her face that she’s madly in love with him and it’s a good thing that I see the same expression on Brian’s face. So we hang out together, but mostly they would just sneak away and leave just like that alone…but I have no problem at all, since they were the one who always pay for the movies, dinner, lunch … fine by me. Through Brian and Linda, I have learned the meaning of friendship and love, it is now my chance to say thank you for that sweet memories that I will never forget and I hope we still can create another beautiful memories of our friendship together.

So … I have to say words of wisdom for the newly wed, well just because I’m not married doesn’t mean I’m not an expert. Okay listen carefully :
1. When you are wrong, admit it. When you are right, just shut up !
2. The best way to remember an anniversary is to forget once (Brian’s this is for you)
3. Brian this is the best word for you to win Linda’s heart : You’re right dear. Go buy it !
4. Say thank you even for little things that you do to each other
5. Laugh and the world laughs at you, snore and you’ll sleep alone.

I guess my time is up, finally I want to wish the newly wed a growing love, understanding, acceptance, forgiveness, good health, good wealth and most of all a happy ever after. Congratulations you two…

Hi everyone, my name is Janet, and I’m Jessica best friend since high school. I was so happy when she asked me to be her maid of honor, and today I would like make a little toast for the happiest couple today here.

First of all, thank you Jessica for trusting me with this honor, to be here today, share the precious moment of your life, it’s really making me proud. Starting today, you will start your life with Gareth, you can always come to me Jess if you need a friend, I promise you I will always stand up by your side.

To Gareth, you are the luckiest men on this earth, I believe the two of you will have a very beautiful life ahead, hopefully our friendship is everlasting. So ladies and gentlemen please raise your glass with me and wish for the newly wed a happily ever after.
